About Honeymoon Israel Foundation
Jewish life is changing rapidly, and Jewish partnerships are evolving. Intermarriage is now normative, young Jews are more diverse than ever, and traditional pathways to Jewish engagement aren’t reaching the couples who will shape our community’s future.
Honeymoon Israel and Togethering exist to provide these young couples a space unique to them. This year, the programs integrated under one umbrella organization, ensuring that we can reach the maximum number of young couples with at least one Jewish partner who are looking for meaningful, authentic Jewish connection on their own terms at a pivotal moment in their lives.
Honeymoon Israel offers locally based, cohort-driven trips to Israel that serve as a catalyst for lifelong engagement, having brought more than 3,000 couples from 23 cities on over 160 immersive journeys since 2015.
Togethering gathers couples from one city and brings them on a four- to five-day stunning domestic getaway to explore how Jewish wisdom and practices can offer tools to design an authentic Jewish life and build community with other great couples.
Across both programs, couples who are often less connected to Jewish life receive supportive, welcoming entry points—and a pathway to continue growing their Jewish lives and local community long after the trip. The cohesive community built during trips is sustained and nurtured through ongoing programs and resources at home, as well as by participants themselves.
